What's in a Name?

That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet

Something strange?

Something very strange is happening. For some reason, I’m unable to view Romeo’s blog page anymore. Perhaps he’s deleted his account? I daresay that would make me quite happy—maybe he’s finally ready to, as they say here, “buckle down” and really concentrate on getting us home. He did promise, after all, and Romeo is a man of his word. Or at least I think he is…

It’s been awhile since I’ve actually seen Romeo, and when I do, he’s been acting very strange. He’s started wearing a pair of sunglasses at all times, and has changed his wardrobe so that he is constantly wearing pastel plaid shorts. He’s not acting like the Romeo I know.

I will confide in you, my dear readers. I’m not sure that Romeo cares about me as much as he did when we first came here. Perhaps he’s overwhelmed with the newness of this place, but it seems like he is completely disinterested in the once passionate love we shared.

I know I keep iterating this, but I really want to return home. I suppose I haven’t given my real reason, though. It’s not just that this world makes me uncomfortable—I fear that I may be losing Romeo to this world. In Verona, we face the pressures of our families, but at least our love was unwavering. I would rather face the disapproval of my parents than lose the love of my life.

Many of you have been suggesting that I speak with him, and perhaps you’re right. I fear I can’t go on like this for much longer.

Good luck, sweetie. I hope talking with him goes well, you both deserve to be happy and you are, after all, the only two people who really understand one another – I’m not talking about this romantically, but in the sense of that only you two fully realise and understand where you came from.
There… may be bigger things at stake here, Juliet. You are going to need each other in the future, one way or another. As you say to us, Godspeed. :)

I hope it goes well with Romeo. Juliet also there are more fictional characters in this world but I suggest talking with Romeo first before trying to contact the others here is some contact information:

I get how it feels to have someone you care strongly about drift away from you. I didn’t try to fix things, and I strongly (strongly I say!) encourage you to not make the same mistake. If possible, you could try and recruit some of your friends at the sorority to help you try and spend more time with Romeo, or other things, although I will be the first to admit that I know very little when it comes to romance and such things (to my sadness, I am not a romantic).
If you can figure out where he hangs out, you can try and show up there before or after he appears, and use that as an excuse to spend time with him, or possibly invite him to see a movie, or some other social activity exclusive to the pair of you. If you guys don’t spend time together, your relationship isn’t going to get any better.
So please try and make an effort to reestablish your relationship (although do take my words with care. As I have alluded to, I haven’t had any noticable success in the world of romance, so I probably the last person to ask for advice). Still, I hate to see people as deeply connected as the two of you drift apart (Empathetic I am. Romantic, nope), which I why I’m posting this. So please read this, and consider what I say.

I Am So Sorry For You. Unfortunately I Have Worse News. Your Lover Is Gazing At Other Women And Telling People About And Then Blocking You From Seeing His Posts So You Cannot See His Lechery.

As An Honest Man I Felt It Right To Let You Know.

    • WackyMPractical says:

Juliet, please don’t listen to the above poster. He’s what we call in this world, a troll. A person who intentionally spreads rumors to cause discontent in others.

But I can neither deny or confirm what this poster has said. You must speak to Romeo and find out what he has to say for yourself before jumping to any rash decisions.

      • TheJester says:

My Lady, I Lie To You Not. The Man Above Me Is One Of Romeos Friends. They Are Trying To Stop Me From Telling You Of His Lecherous Deeds. Don’t Heed Them. They Ar Liars.

        • WackyMPractical says:

He’s right. We are Romeo’s friends. But we are also your friends. This man is no friend of yours. He only wants to see your heart broken for his own amusement. We honestly care and want to see you and Romeo together and safely returned to Verona.

        • Sicon says:

I have not talked to you before, but I am a compatriot of the other posters here, and I would like to give you a quick warning.

You see, while many people in this world are kind, as you have found is the case with those who took you in, there are also many very unpleasant people. This is especially true of the internet. These people take pleasure in the suffering, rage, and sadness of others, and attempt to do everything they can to sow misery amongst everyone.

This child is one such person. His only purpose is chaos and unhappiness, so I highly suggest you completely ignore him. To do otherwise only makes him happy. That is the nature of ‘trolls’.

        • Scarab says:

If you want a lady to trust you, maybe best not to use the name Jester, mate.

Seriously, Juliet, we’re not going to pretend everything is, as we say where I come from ‘hunky dory’ between the two of you but Romeo is sure as heck not cheating on you. Still, any and all answers you seek here must come from Romeo himself, not us, and certainly not some face on the internet who hides behind a fool’s mask and name.

You’re both going through a lot right now and it’s been very hard for you and this guy, alas, is just trying to make things more difficult for you. Some people are just like that, especially on the internet where they can safely hide their faces from view.

  • TheJester says:

How Dare This Man Accuse Me Of Taking Pleasure From Your Misery. My Lady I Assure You I Will Do No Such Thing.

    • Sicon says:

Excuse me, but you just blatantly admitted elsewhere that you were attempting to break up Juliet and Romeo, just for your own amusement. I think that is MORE than enough to make me DARE.

      • TheJester says:

My Lady, This Man Lies. I Have Felt The Cold Hard Steel Of Misery. I Am Sure In Your World They Have A Jester For The Capulets Do They Not? I Was One Such Jester. You Can Tell I Am An Honest Man Because I Understand Your Time. I Could Never Do Something To Someone Who Barely Understands This World As It Is. I Am Merely Being Honest.

  • Sicon says:

Oh, you’re not lying because you understand the Renaissance period. It’s called a history book, kiddy. I’m sure you are being honest and NEVER said something like… oh I don’t know, maybe:

“There Once Was Couple Of Two.
Who Fell Over The Wall And Joined A New School.
Well I Made Some Sly Comments,
    About The Boys Bad Habits,
    And Hope That Chaos Ensues.

    I Absolutely Love Chaos.”

Totally not. Because that would be a complete admission of guilt. And you are merely being honest.

  • TheJester says:

How Dare He Slander Me With Such Bad Poetry.

    • Sicon says:

Isn’t that about what you said before, except with “bad poetry” tacked on? If you keep using the same responses over and over, debates just get so boring. Course, debating trolls is boring anyway, since they never know how to react to someone zinging them worse than they can.

So just keep on insulting your own poetry, mate. It really deserves it.

      • TheJester says:

I Am Not A Troll. Juliet, I Promise You I Do Not Lie. I Merely Wanted To Tell You What Your Lover Was Doing. I Do Not Wish To Debate. And They Frame Me And Tell Lies.

        • Scarab says:

You do not wish to debate because your debating skills have all the strength and fibre of wheatstrands after a July flood. Leave Juliet alone and stop tormenting her.

And I would advise AGAINST endaging in a battle of wits with Sicon, it’s not a battle you can win. Trust me on that oe.
