What's in a Name?

That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet

Beginning to Wonder

I’ve yet to see Romeo today, nor did we meet yesterday, and I am beginning
to wonder if perhaps his interests are elsewhere. I continue to receive e-mails
from him, but now they are no longer the heartfelt messages from before, but
simply forwards of, and I quote, “funny shit I found on Reddit.”

Romeo, if you are reading this, please know that my concern for you grows with
each passing day! Even your manner of speech is now strange and foreign to
me, and I fear that you have lost focus on our task to return home.

Yet, when we do return (as I have faith we will), I will surely miss the
companionship of the sisters here. They have all been so kind to me—in fact,
they extended me an honorary membership to the sorority! They said that I will
still have to attend formal recruitment in the fall, although hopefully by then I will
be back at home, married to Romeo!

Still, the sisters have been so kind to me. Today was Margaret’s birthday, and
we celebrated with cake and a very strange kind of wine. She’s twenty-one years
old—over half a decade my senior! Hopefully, they won’t realize, though I must
be certain to hide my ignorance of modernity when speaking with them, lest they
discover. I can only hope that Romeo is exercising the same caution.

Greetings. I suppose you do realize not only Romeo can read these messages. There are others who may come here and perhaps wish to talk to you and I am one of them.

For now, I do not have much in the way of help to offer, but rest assured that I understand your desire to return home and, along with other friends, will try my best to help you in that quest.

Sorry for the lack of importance in my words, but I desired to make myself known as an ally as soon as I could. ~Pixelmage

Hello, Juliet. What is the name of the place in which you are currently residing? Preferably the state and city.

  • Pixelmage says:

It turns out I do have some helpful information I forgot to tell you in my introduction. Please forgive that mistake.

There is a man investigating occurences like yours and a method to allow the return to your original plane.

I assume you can contact him via email?
    OneAboveTheWall@gmail.com

He’s an enigmatic man, but it should be safe to talk to him.

Hello there, kind friend! I appreciate so much the information you have given–I’m afraid that I am still rather undereducated in the way these computers and such work.

I am unsure about how I feel contacting someone I have never met. Although, I have never met you, and you have been so kind to me! I shall think it over.

Again, thank you for your kind words and help.

      Godspeed,
      Juliet

Thoug that address you should be able to contact a man who calls himself “Mr. Administrator” in the same manner you trade emails with Romeo.

He is the one leading our group’s effors. To aid you and others like you who are stranded in our land.

I belive you should contact him soon, even if just to let him know you are aware of his work and willing to hear any information he can provide you.

Greetings, Juliet. You seem to be upset about the internet taking Romeo’s attention… I assure you, it’s not his fault. It’s just that the humanity has managed to exploit its own craving for knowledge.
It has a lot to offer to everyone, even you, if you know where to seek. For instance, as a lady, you may be interested in this:

    • juliet says:

Oh, my goodness! I have never seen dress so strange and yet so elegant at the same time. But, it is so different from what I see the ladies wearing around the university! Is this the fashion of the Lords and Ladies, or just the royal family?

      Godspeed,
      Juliet

      • Dryunya says:

I believe there is little difference in how wealthy and and common people dress nowadays. I’m not competent in the matters of fashion, though – your friends will be of more service here than me.

    • Romeo says:

      So you do speak English!

      • Dryunya says:

Ah, I thought you might see that. ;D I just find it inappropriate to talk to a lady in lolspeak. While we live in a time of gender equality, somehow it just doesn’t suit a lady, amirite?
Rest assured, what you’ve seen before _is_ how me usually speaks. =]

Hello, Juliet. I know you may begin to feel yourself overwhelmed with comments about now, but I assure you, we wish to help you and Romeo.

We, myself and several of the above posters, are a group who are currently on the mission of assisting lost souls like yourself. You and Romeo aren’t the only outsiders to find yourselves whisked away to our world, and we want nothing more than to help the both of you return.

On one other note, there will be some that will contact you attempting to persuade you to read certain periodicals from this land. If you find them pleasing, by all means, enjoy them. But in this particular situation, it may be best that you stay away from meaningless distractions and focus on the tasks at hand. One of them being to convince Romeo to do the same. If we succeed, you two will not be staying in this world long, and you will no longer be able to enjoy the distractions you find here, so it may be best not to become invested in them at all. Please remain strong, for yourself and for Romeo.

Hello! I appreciate your concern very much, but I assure you that I will not allow myself to be distracted by the wonders of this world. For, while this place is strange and curious, I know in my heart that I must return to Verona, where Romeo and I may be wed and live happily and peacefully in wedded joy! And I know that deep in his soul, Romeo feels the same.

      Godspeed,
      Juliet

    Hello there, Juliet :)

Don’t worry too much about that guy of yours. As I’m sure your new sisters have told you, men are just like that sometimes – they get distracted by such things as reddit and the internet and, as he puts it ‘funny shit’. Sometimes they just have phases like that.

You both seem to be adapting very well to such a difficult situation. Please should you have any problems at any point, you are more than welcome to voice them to us and we’ll try and help you guys out as best we can.

  • Scarab says:

Also, Miss, you might find that nothing quite helps a relationship like sitting down to watch a good movie together, especially of the romantic persuasion. it’s something of a tradition around these parts.

I would like to advise the following for your perusal. It’s kind of a classic here. I’ve seen it on the stage as well as on movie (although I must warn you, it has a sad ending, I cried buckets myself).

You can see the trailer here, if you’re interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NS3SbrQik3M

  • Adell says:

You seem to be quite in love with this Romeo. I imagine you two have known each other for a long time to make such a strong connection?

    • juliet says:

Though we may not have known each other here in the physical world for a very long time, I know that God matched our souls in heaven, and I thank Him every day that we have found each other at last.

      Bless,
      Juliet
